Raful Neal
Raful Neal, born on June 6, 1936, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was an American
blues singer, harmonica player, and songwriter. Neal began playing the harmonica
at 14. His first band, the Clouds, included Lester Johnson and later featured
Buddy Guy. In 1958, Neal released his debut recording "Sunny Side" for Peacock
Records. His breakthrough came with the 1987 album Louisiana Legend, released by
King Snake Records and later reissued by Alligator Records. Neal toured
internationally throughout the 1990s and was inducted into the Louisiana Blues
Hall of Fame in 1995. He passed away on...
