Pur

Pur is a pop band from Germany. The band's beginnings date back to 1975, but it was not until 1983 that Pur released their debut album Opus. The band released further albums with Vorsicht Zerbrechlich (1985), PUR (1987) and Wie Im Film (1988). Pur first attracted attention with the melancholy single "Wenn Sie Diesen Tango Hört" in 1989. The next album Unendlich Mehr brought Pur its first chart position in 1990, reaching number 45 and gold status. The single "Lena" made it into the charts in 1991.
