Psarantonis

Antonis Xylouris, known professionally as Psarantonis, was born in 1937 in Anogeia, Crete, Greece. He is a lyre player and songwriter, coming from a family of professional musicians. Psarantonis began playing the lyre at age 13 and released his first recording, "Eskéftika na s'arnithó", in 1964. Throughout his career, he has released numerous albums, including Kritiki Xasteria (1973), I Mahi Tis Kritis (1976), and Mountain Rebels (2008).
