Prima J
Prima J, an American musical duo composed of cousins Jessica and Janelle
Martinez, was formed in 2006. The duo, who were born on May 25, 1988, and August
26, 1988 respectively, derived their stage name by combining the letter "J" from
each of their given names with the Spanish word "prima," meaning female cousin.
Their debut single "Rock Star" was released for the Bratz Motion Picture
Soundtrack in 2007. The duo gained further exposure through appearances in
various media, including the Disney Channel original movie Jump In! and the
