Preston W. Glass, born January 9, 1960 in California, is an American songwriter
and producer known for his contributions to soul music. He began his career in
the late 1970s as a staff writer for Philadelphia producer Thom Bell. Glass's
early work included playing on Aretha by Aretha Franklin (1980) and Sixteen by
Stacy Lattisaw (1981). He later produced Perfect Combination with Johnny Gill
and Lattisaw (1984), and played on Starchild by Teena Marie (1984). Throughout
