Precious Wilson was born on October 18, 1957 in Spanish Town (Jamaica). She is a
Jamaican-British singer and songwriter who is best known in the disco, dance-pop
and soul genres and is considered a defining voice of the late 1970s and 1980s.
Her career began in 1974 when she joined the British band Eruption as a backing
singer. Eruption emerged from the school band Silent Eruption in the 1970s and
