Prashant Pillai, born on September 8, 1981 in India, is a composer known for his
work on Malayalam-language films. After studying sound engineering in Chennai,
he began his career working with A.R. Rahman and later moved to Pune to compose
for ad jingles and short films. His breakthrough came in 2004 with a radio
jingle. In 2007, Pillai scored the music for Bejoy Nambiar's critically
acclaimed short film Rahu. His first feature film score was for the Malayalam
