The Pousette‑Dart Band was formed in 1973 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, by Jon
Pousette‑Dart, John Troy and John Curtis, who initially performed as a string
band before shifting to a more commercially oriented pop‑rock sound. Their
breakthrough came with the 1976 single "What Can I Say" and the 1977 release
"Fall on Me", which helped establish the group on the U.S. charts. The band
signed with Capitol Records and released a series of albums: Pousette‑Dart Band
