Pleasure was an American band from Portland, Oregon. Formed in 1972 as a merger
of two local bands, The Franchise and The Soul Masters, Pleasure initially
included members Bruce Carter, Nathaniel Phillips, and Marlon McClain. In 1974,
Grover Washington directed them to seek out Wayne Henderson of The Crusaders,
leading to a deal with Fantasy Records. Under Henderson's production through At
Home Productions, Pleasure released their breakthrough album Future Now in 1979,
