Pink Lady is a Japanese female pop music duo consisting of Mitsuyo Nemoto (Mie)
and Keiko Masuda, who had met as childhood friends and later studied together at
the Yamaha Music School. After winning the Yamaha “Challenge on Stage” audition,
they debuted on the talent show Star Tanjō! in March 1976 with a cover of
Pīman’s "部屋を出て下さい", which led to a contract with Victor Entertainment. Their
breakthrough came with the single "ペッパー警部 in 1976, peaking at number 4 on
Oricon, followed by "S • O • S", "UFO", and "カメレオン・アーミー" which held the Number 1
