Phillip Joseph Fearon, born on July 30, 1956, in Jamaica, was a British singer and record producer. At six years old, he moved to London with his parents. Fearon began his music career by running a reggae sound system before joining the band Hott Wax, which later evolved into Hi-Tension. He then joined the group Kandidate, which achieved a number 11 chart hit in 1979 with "I Don't Wanna Lose You".
