Philip Anthony Campbell, born 7 May 1961 in Pontypridd, Wales, was a Welsh
guitarist, songwriter and singer whose career spanned over three decades. He
began playing guitar at age ten, later performing semi‑professionally with
Contrast and Roktopus, before forming the heavy‑metal outfit Persian Risk, which
issued singles such as "Calling for You" in 1981. In 1984, Campbell was
