Phew
Hiromi Moritani, known professionally as Phew, was born on September 12, 1959,
in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She began her music career as a singer and was a
member of the punk band Aunt Sally in 1979. In 1981, she released her debut solo
album Phew, recorded with Holger Czukay, Jaki Liebezeit, and Yoshitaka Goto at
Conny Plank's studio. Phew continued to release albums throughout the 1980s and
1990s, including View (1987), Our Likeness (1992), and Himitsu no Knife (1995).
She has collaborated with several artists, including Seiichi Yamamoto on
