Phantom Planet
American rock band Phantom Planet, formed in 1994 in Los Angeles. The original
lineup included Alex Greenwald on vocals and rhythm guitar, Darren Robinson on
lead guitar, Sam Farrar on bass guitar, Jason Schwartzman on drums, and Jacques
Brautbar on lead guitar. Phantom Planet was named after a 1961 B-movie called
The Phantom Planet. The band initially played in the Hollywood area before
signing with Geffen Records in 1997 and releasing their debut album, Phantom
