Petr Ulrych, born on February 21, 1944, in Hradec Králové, Protectorate of
Bohemia and Moravia, is a singer, composer, and lyricist. After studying
aeronautical engineering and privately learning piano and double bass, Ulrych
co-founded the Brno Theatre without Traditions in 1961. He joined the rock band
Vulkán in 1964, followed by Atlantis with his sister Hana Ulrychová in 1967.
During Czechoslovakia's Normalization era, their rock sound and politically
themed lyrics were banned, leading to the formation of the folk-tinged project
