Petr Janda, born on May 2, 1942, in Prague, Czech Republic, is a guitarist and
rock musician. He started his career playing guitar in the band Sputnici before
joining Big Beat Quintet. In 1963, Janda became the frontman of the big beat
band Olympic. With Olympic, he released albums including Želva (1968) and Jedeme
jedeme (1971). His solo career began in 1998 with the album Co je dobrý a co
zlý. Notable singles include "Agáta / Planetář" (1971) and "Slzy tvý mámy"
(1973). In 2016, he received the Silver Medal of the President of the Senate.
