Peter Petrel
Peter Petrel, born Peter Sauer on April 14, 1940, in Bad Frankenhausen, Germany,
is a German singer known for his work in pop and schlager music. He began his
career as a skiffle and jazz singer, making his first public appearance in 1958
and gained early recognition performing with Johnny’s New Orleans Jatzband from
1960 onwards. Petrel's breakthrough came in 1972 as part of the duo Windows with
Jeannie McKinley, achieving a Number 1 hit with "How Do You Do?". The English
