Peter McCann
Peter James McCann was an American songwriter, musician, lecturer, and activist.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from Fairfield University, he formed
the folk-rock group the Repairs, which later secured a Motown contract and
relocated to Los Angeles in 1971, eventually leading to a staff writing deal
with ABC Records. In 1977, he wrote “Right Time of the Night” for Jennifer
Warnes, reaching number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 1 on the Easy
