Peter Kenneth Frampton was born on April 22, 1950 in Beckenham (Kent), England.
He was only seven when he discovered a ukulele in his grandmother's attic. The
following year, he took classical music lessons and soon afterwards began to
learn the guitar. He began playing in several bands, including The Little
Ravens, The Trubeats and The Preachers, whose producer was none other than Bill
Wyman, bassist with The Rolling Stones. In 1966, he joined The Herd as lead
