Peter Robert Auty, born on November 4, 1969 in England, is a British operatic
tenor who began his musical journey as a choirboy at St Paul's Cathedral. At the
age of 13, Auty gained significant recognition for singing "Walking in the Air",
the theme song from the animated film The Snowman, although his name was
initially omitted from the credits until the film's remastering in 2002. Auty
continued his vocal training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama
under Peter Alexander Wilson, alongside studying with the British Youth Opera.
