Payton Smith, born January 1, 2000 in Houma, Louisiana, is a country
singer‑songwriter and guitarist whose career began with self‑taught guitar
lessons at age ten. His breakthrough came with the single "Like I Knew You
Would" released on October 4 2019, followed by his debut EP Payton Smith on the
same date, which entered the top 20 on Apple Music the first day. Smith signed
with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment in 2019, and in 2020 performed at
the Grand Ole Opry and toured with Florida Georgia Line and Brad Paisley. In
