PawPaw Rod
Real name Rodney Hulsey, PawPaw Rod is a singer and rapper born in Hawaii and
raised in Norman, Oklahoma. Exposed to R&B, soul, funk and rap as a child, he
combines these diverse elements into a vintage style. In 2020, he released his
debut single "Hit Em Where It Hurts", before going on to produce four EPs that
racked up millions of listens across platforms: A PawPaw Rod EP (2021), Another
PawPaw Rod EP (2022), This Must Be a PawPaw EP (2023) and Doobie Mouth (2024).
