Paul Thorn is an American singer known for blending alternative country and
blues, born on July 13, 1964, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Thorn's musical
breakthrough came when Miles Copeland discovered Thorn performing at a local
pizza shop in Tupelo, Mississippi, leading to the debut album Hammer and Nail
(1997) under A&M Records. Thorn left A&M and self-released thirteen more albums,
including Pimps and Preachers (2010), which debuted at Number 83 on the
