Paul Brandon Gilbert, born 6 November 1966 in Carbondale, Illinois, is an
American guitarist who emerged from the Pittsburgh suburb of Greensburg and
began playing at six. He is best known as co-founder of hard rock supergroup Mr.
Big and as the guitarist for heavy metal band Racer X. His first recording was
with Racer X’s Street Lethal (1986), followed by the solo album King of Clubs
(1998). Over the following decades he released studio and live albums, including
