Paul Julien Delmet, also known as Paul Delmet, born on June 17, 1862, in Paris,
France, was a French composer and singer. He started his musical career at the
age of 12 as a graveur de musique sur cuivre, learning harmony from colleagues
while working with notable composers. Delmet's breakthrough came when he began
performing at Montmartre cabarets like La Pie borgne and Le Chat noir, where his
sentimental ballads gained popularity. His first ballad, "Joli Mai", was
