Paul Brandt, born Paul Rennée Belobersycky on July 21, 1972, in Calgary,
Alberta, Canada, is a Canadian country music artist. He first sang publicly at
his high school and later graduated from Mount Royal University with a degree in
nursing. Brandt's breakthrough came in 1996 with the single "My Heart Has a
History", which reached Number 1 in Canada and marked him as the first male
Canadian country singer to reach the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs
chart since Hank Snow in 1974. His debut album, Calm Before the Storm, followed
