Patty Ryan, born Birgit Hartmann on May 6, 1961 in Wuppertal, West Germany, was a German singer-songwriter best known for her Eurodisco music. She began her musical career with the rockabilly group Susi & die Rockets, appearing on the television show ZDF-Hitparade in 1981 with the song “Dieses Haus ist kein Bahnhof” (1981). Her solo breakthrough came with the release of the single “You're My Love, You're My Life” (1986), which was followed by her debut studio album, Love Is the Name of the Game (1987).
