Begum Parween Sultana, born Parvin on May 24, 1950 in India, is a Hindustani
classical singer of the Patiala Gharana. She received training from Acharya
Chinmoy Lahiri and began her professional career with Abdul Majid's Assamese
film Morom Trishna. Sultana's breakthrough came with her work on Bollywood films
such as Gadar, Kudrat and Do Boond Pani. Her notable songs include "Humein Tumse
Pyaar Kitna" from Kudrat (1981) and the theme song for Vikram Bhatt's 1920. She
has recorded albums with labels including His Master's Voice, Polydor Records,
