Ozzie Nelson
Oswald George Nelso, also known as Ozzie Nelson, was born on March 26, 1906 in
Jersey City, New Jersey and was an American actor, filmmaker, musician, and
bandleader. After earning a law degree, he turned to music during the
Depression, forming the Ozzie Nelson Band. The band recorded for Brunswick,
Vocalion, Bluebird and Victor. Nelson achieved success with hits such as "Over
Somebody Else's Shoulder" (1934) and "And Then Some" (1935). In 1952, The
