Oysterhead, an American rock supergroup, was formed in 2000 by bassist Les
Claypool of Primus, guitarist Trey Anastasio of Phish, and drummer Stewart
Copeland of the Police. They debuted live at the New Orleans Jazz Fest on May 4,
2000. In 2001, Oysterhead released their studio album, The Grand Pecking Order,
which was supported by a North American tour from October to November. The band
reunited briefly in 2006 for the Bonnaroo Music Festival and again in 2020-2021,
with tours interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
