Örjan Fahlström
Örjan Fahlström, born on June 21, 1953, in Sandviken, Sweden, is a Swedish
composer, arranger, and conductor. He studied at the Framnäs folkhögskola and
the Kungliga Musikhögskolan i Stockholm. Fahlström's early career included
playing with the jazz fusion group Kornet and forming the Fahlström
International Big Band in 1979, which featured notable jazz soloists. From 1989
to 1996, he served as artistic director of the Norrbotten Big Band. As a
composer and percussionist, Fahlström was a member of the Swedish Radio Jazz
