Johnny Strong, born in 2003 in the United States, is the founder and frontman of
the Los Angeles‑based post‑grunge band Operator, where he performs lead and
rhythm guitar, bass, piano, and vocals. He first released the self‑recorded demo
Can You Hear Me Now in 2003, which attracted Atlantic Records and led to a 2007
signing; the label debut Soulcrusher followed that summer, selling over 110,000
copies, peaking at number 14 on the Heatseekers chart, and spawning singles such
