Omik K
Gilberto Ruben Guillen Hernandez, known professionally as Omik K., was born on
August 7, 1989, in Ciego de Ávila Morón, Cuba. He is a German rapper from
Leipzig who gained recognition for his aggressive, shouted rap style. At the age
of seven, Omik K. moved to Germany and grew up in Leipzig. His breakthrough came
when he was discovered by rappers Joe Rilla and Morlockk Dilemma while active in
the Leipsiz Underground Scene. They collaborated on his debut album 13 Jahre
Deutschland (13 Years of Germany), released in 2008 under ProMille Records.
