Ol' 55, an Australian band known for retro 1950s-era rock 'n' roll, formed as
Fanis in Sutherland, Sydney, in 1972. In 1975, manager Glenn A. Baker renamed
them Ol' 55 and recruited Frankie J. Holden as frontman. Their debut single, a
double A-side with "Diana" backed with "Goodnight Sweetheart", was also released
that year. In May 1976, their single "On the Prowl" (1976) reached the top 20 of
the Kent Music Report, and their debut album Take It Greasy (1976) peaked at
