Nuno Mindelis
Nuno Mindelis is an Angolan-born Brazilian blues guitarist and
singer-songwriter. Born in 1957 in Cabinda, Angola, he began building and
playing self-made guitars at age nine. His early musical influences included
Otis Redding and Booker T. & the MG's. In 1990, his independent recordings began
receiving airplay on local radio stations. Mindelis released his debut album
Blues & Derivados in 1989. His recording history included the albums Long
Distance Blues (1992) and Texas Bound (1996), the latter of which reached number
