Alonzo Mario Stevenson, known as Novel, and born on September 3, 1981, in Los
Angeles, California, is a hip-hop artist and the son of William Stevenson and
grandson of soul pioneer Solomon Burke. At 14, he returned to California where
his father set up a recording studio for him. His first single "Peach" was
released on Rawkus Records in 2003, featuring Smokey Robinson. In 2007, Novel
signed with Dallas Austin's Rowdy Records and released the EP I Am... (Future
Black President) the following year. Notable collaborations include working on
"Missing You" with David Guetta from Guet...
