Nisse Sandström

Nils Göran "Nisse" Sandström, born on 13 March 1942 in Katrineholm, Sweden, was
a Swedish jazz saxophonist. Sandström won the soloist category of a Swedish
television jazz competition in 1958, launching his career at a young age. In
1972, he received the Golden Record award from Orkesterjournalen for his
acclaimed album The Painter. Throughout his career, he performed with prominent
artists including Monica Zetterlund and Red Mitchell, and hosted the weekly
radio program Jazz with Nisse Sandström on P4 Östergötland. His later honors
