Nile
Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, American death metal band Nile was
formed in 1993 around singer and guitarist Karl Sanders. Fascinated by the
mystical works of H. P. Lovecraft and Egyptology, Nile regularly refers to them
in its albums, starting with the first, Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka
(1998), released by the Relapse label and followed by Black Seeds of Vengeance
(2000), In Their Darkened Shrines (2002) and Annihilation of the Wicked (2005),
produced by Neik Kernon. With their raw, technical metal, the band signed with
Nuclear Blast and expanded their audience...
