Νίκος Ξανθόπουλος
(Nikos Xanthopoulos)
Nikos Xanthopoulos, born March 14, 1934 in Athens, Greece, was a Greek actor and
singer known for his roles in the Greek drama cinema of the 1960s. He began his
career as a stage actor from 1957 to 1963 before transitioning exclusively to
film. His film debut was a small role in My Life Starts With You (1958). In
1964, he began collaborating with director-producer Apostolos Tegopoulos and the
film company KLAK Film, gaining fame as “the child of the folk” for playing
roles depicting working-class men, immigrants, or struggling musicians. To
