Nikki Leonti, born Nicole Marie Leonti on August 20, 1981 in Corona, California, is an American singer-songwriter. She began singing as a church soloist at age 5. She released her debut full-length album Reach the World in 1996, followed by Shelter Me in 1998, which reached number 179 on the Billboard 200 and number 7 on the Contemporary Christian chart, and Nikki Leonti in 2001. After retiring from Christian music, she served as a backup vocalist for Carrie Underwood in 2006, then co-founded the R&B duo Nikki & Rich, releasing the album Greatest Hits... on Reprise Records / Born...
