Nicolás Hernández Penagos, known artistically as Nico Hernández, was born on
July 21, 2000, in Bogotá, Colombia and built his career as a singer, songwriter
and producer within the Regional Colombian scene. After early work that he
released independently in the late 2010s, Nico Hernández began gaining attention
in the early 2020s with original songs that mixed a modern, melodic approach
with regional arrangements, laying the groundwork for later releases such as “Y
