Nicholas Charles Bailey, known professionally as Nick Straker, was born in
London in 1957 and is a musician. Straker began his career with the band
Stonehenge in 1969, remaining with the group after it became Matumbi in 1971
until his departure in 1974. He later performed with the dance band Limmie Funk
Limited, touring the Netherlands and Sweden, before collaborating with Tony
Mansfield on "A Walk in the Park," which reached number 20 on the UK Singles
