Nick Harper, born Nicholas Harper on June 22, 1965, in London, England, is an
English singer-songwriter and guitarist. Influenced by his father Roy Harper's
musical friends, he began playing guitar at age 10 and made his recording debut
on his father’s 1985 album Whatever Happened to Jugula?. Harper released his
first solo EP, Light at the End of the Kennel, in 1994, followed by his debut
album Seed in 1995. A meeting with Glenn Tilbrook led to Harper being signed to
Tilbrook's Quixotic Records label and supporting Squeeze on tour. He recorded
several albums including Smithereens...
