Ngũ Cung, a progressive rock band from Viet Nam, was formed in 2007. The group initially consisted of drummer Hung Cuong and lead guitarist Tran Thang, who met at a guitar contest and shared a passion for music. They officially established the band on October 10, 2007, shortly before winning the Rock Your Passion talent contest. Ngũ Cung gained popularity for their fusion of rock with traditional rhythms from Northwest Viet Nam.
