Connie Britton, born Constance Elaine Womack on March 6, 1967 in Boston,
Massachusetts, is an American actress and television producer best known for her
role as Rayna Jaymes in the drama series Nashville. Britton entered the
entertainment industry after studying Asian studies with a concentration in
Chinese at Dartmouth College, and she appeared in several stage productions
before being cast in Nashville in 2012. The series debuted on ABC in October
2012, and Britton's portrayal of the seasoned country singer earned her a
