Mystery is a Canadian neo‑progressive rock group founded in 1986 by
multi‑instrumentalist Michel St‑Père in Montreal, Quebec. St‑Père, born 1986,
originally worked as a sound engineer before assembling the band, which
initially performed under the name Century before adopting the current name
after a naming conflict. The first breakthrough came with the 1992 Mystery EP,
featuring dual lead vocals from Gary Savoie, which introduced the band’s blend
