My American Heart, originally named No Way Out, was a rock band from San Diego,
California, formed in 2001. They changed their name due to legal issues and
gained local fame playing at various venues in Southern California. Their
breakthrough came when they won the Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands. In 2004,
they released their first EP, My American Heart. Following this, they signed
with Warcon Enterprises and released their debut full-length album, The Meaning
