Jerome Eugene Brailey, born August 20 1950 in the United States, is a drummer
whose work in funk and soul music has spanned several decades. After beginning
his career in the late 1960s with groups such as The Unifics,
The Five Stairsteps and The Chambers Brothers, he joined the
Parliament‑Funkadelic collective in 1975, contributing to the hit "Give Up the
Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)" and recording on numerous P‑Funk albums. In
