Takayoshi Murota, born March 25, 1970 in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, Japan,
is better known by his stage name MURO; he began his career as a hip-hop DJ,
producer, and designer. Early exposure to the Japanese hip-hop scene led him to
join KRUSH POSSE in 1987, and he launched his solo career in 1993. His first
commercial single, “Street Life”, was released on April 21, 1994. In 1999 he
released “THE VINYL ATHLETES” (December 22, 1999). Chronologically, MURO’s
