Moshe Hammer
Moshe Hammer, born on March 29, 1946, in Budapest, is a Jewish‑Canadian
violinist. He studied at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv before
continuing his training with Ivan Galamian at Juilliard, Yasha Heifetz in Los
Angeles, and Yehudi Menuhin in London. After winning a medal at the Thibaud
Competition in Paris in 1970, he performed as a soloist throughout North America
and Europe. He was a founding member of the Amadeus Ensemble and became a
